Summer 2012 Junior Competitve Team
Summer season for LPJ Chicago High School Rowing Team starts on Tuesday, May 29. Daily practice is 4 – 6:30 pm and Saturday morning (time to be determined by coach). We train from the Frances K. Mennone & Bruce H. Smith Boathouse located at 1596 N. Kingsbury
There are three steps to register:
1) Fill in the online form. Remember to click submit when done.
2) Print, read, sign and return waivers. LPJ_2012_Summer_registration
3) Pay your fees.
Only rowers who have completed these three steps will be allowed to participate in practice.
Season Fees: Summer 2012
Summer 2012 season fees are $500 for all rowers. This covers all coaching expenses and regatta travel expenses. These fees are for the entire season and are not pro-ratable under any circumstance (e.g., absences from practice, cancellation of regattas, withdrawal from team.)
Payment is due the first day of practice:
By check payable to LPJ Chicago. Give the check to the coach at practice or mail to the membership coordinator
Pay on-line using our PayPal link . Our on-line fees are slightly higher to PayPal transaction fees.
LPJ Chicago grants partial scholarships but we must allocate according to need, as scholarship funds are limited. Please refer to the Scholarship Request Form for additional information and requirements. Bring the completed scholarship request form to the first day of practice or mail to the membership coordinator.
Many of our families use a payment plan; dividing the season fee into two or three payments. Bring all the checks, post-dated, to practice or mail to the membership coordinator. We will hold the post-dated checks and deposit when appropriate.

2) Since we have a lot of sign-up links (high school, St. Pat's, camps and now adding Adults) on the main webpage, I think people can get confused. Let's add a header to the high school sign-up to distinguish from the adults. And let's put the adults after the high school team.

Teen Summer Camps
The Chicago Rowing Foundation offers a completely beginner-based rowing program for teens 12-17. You will learn the essentials of sweep rowing (one oar per person) with training on land on rowing machines and on the water in boats on the Chicago River. The focus is on basic rowing skills and terms, with an emphasis on learning how to row as a crew of 8. Register here: lpjsummercamp.eventbrite.com

Tuesday, July 3rd through Wednesday, July 11th (Weekdays Only, no camp on 7/4)
